Introducing our Denim Jacket

July 4, 2026

One of my favorite styles to make is the classic denim jacket, with its slim silhouette and cropped body that evokes the era it comes from. This one is built from 13.5oz selvedge denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. For me that means I get about half the yardage per bolt compared to modern wide format denim. For you it means you're getting the older, slower style of production: a tightly woven, self finished edge that doesn't fray, which we proudly show off on the front placket fold. Do yourself a favor and don't wash this jacket for a while. Selvedge denim is meant to be lived in before it's cleaned, so the indigo fades where your body actually moves and bends, at the elbows, the pocket edges, and the cuffs, giving you a fade pattern that's entirely yours.

This version comes unlined, made specifically to hold up in hotter weather without turning into a furnace the second you put it on. A wool flannel lined version is already in the works for later this year, with the same silhouette and same construction standards, just with a warmer heart for the colder months. Every piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand, one jacket at a time, no production line and no shortcuts.

Thread
Cotton-wrapped polyester for most stitching: looks like cotton, but stronger. 100% polyester used on serged seams for extra durability. Origin: United States.

Hand Cut Fabric

Every inch of fabric is cut by hand, one pattern at a time.

Straight-Stitch Construction

Every seam is assembled using a straight-stitch machine for a clean, strong finish. This method offers greater control and precision at every stage of construction.

Unwashed Selvedge

We intentionally leave the selvedge denim unwashed before sewing, preserving the raw indigo dye. This lets each customer develop their own unique fade and patina pattern through wear over time.

This isn’t fast fashion. It’s a garment built with purpose — one at a time, by hand, using materials that last. When you wear it, you carry the time, care, and craft that went into making it.
